Wednesday, 22 Sep 2010 11:28pm

The family of a missing Gwynneville woman has asked police for help in locating her.

Wendy Lenton, 60, was last seen leaving her home in her white 2006-model Holden Barina – with NSW registration plates BAE-86F – on Thursday 26 August this year.

Neither Wendy nor her car has been since that time. She is not believed to have a substantial amount of money or her mobile phone with her.

Wendy requires regular medication for the treatment of an ongoing medical problem.

Her family has told police it is highly out of character for their mother to be out of contact for so long.

Along with her family, police do hold significant concerns for Wendy’s welfare due to her medical history.

Wendy is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 165cm tall with a medium build, black short hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a blue blouse, blue or brown jumper, white nike joggers and carrying a mustard-coloured hand bag.

Wollongong Police are appealing to anyone who might have seen Wendy or her car to contact them via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
