Peter Won was last seen about 8:00pm on 16 July 1994. Peter was last seen by a friend Edward Azzarrlo, who was with him in a run-about when it was hit by a large wave causing it to capsize, throwing him into the waters, near Botany Bay Heads off Cape Banks, La Perouse, Sydney at approximately 8pm. Peter informed the survivor he would swim to the shore to raise help and commenced to swim in that direction. Peter's friend held onto the upturned hull but it appears Peter never reached shore and is still missing. Grave fears are held for Peter's safety.
