Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's north since last month.

Paul Gibson, aged 51, was last seen in the Belrose area after having left work feeling unwell on 27 April.

It is believed that he has possibly travelled to the Berkeley Vale area on the Central Coast and may have been near this area about 9.30pm on the same day.

Police and family members hold grave concerns for Mr Gibson's welfare.  He suffers from a condition which requires ongoing medication and his disappearance is out of character.

Mr Gibson is described as being of white/European appearance, medium build and about 165cm tall. He was last seen wearing a navy blue jumper, navy blue King Gee shorts and white shoes.  Mr Gibson was last seen driving a blue 2001 Holden Rodeo utility.

Anyone with information about Paul Gibson's whereabouts is urged to contact Northern Beaches Police on 9971 3399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
