Police seek public help to locate missing elderly man - Sydney's south-west

NSW Police in Sydney's south-west are seeking public help to locate an elderly man missing from Panania.
 
The 89-year-old man was last seen at his Ellesmere Street home about 7.15am yesterday (Thursday 28 May).
 
A family member alerted police late last night after returning home to find him missing.
 
Police from Bankstown Local Area Command have stepped up patrols of the local area in a bid to locate the elderly man.
 
Polair has also been brought in to search from the air.
 
There was an unconfirmed sighting of the man in the Padstow area about 9pm.
 
The man's been described as being of white/European appearance with a medium build, tanned complexion and grey short hair.
 
The man, who walks with a hunch, was last seen wearing shorts and a jumper.
 
Police and family members are concerned for the man's wellbeing due to his age and the fact he suffers a medical condition.
