Police seek public
assistance to locate missing elderly man — Lidcombe

Police are seeking public assistance to locate an
elderly male missing, from Sydney’s west since early
this month.
Gunther Palatin, 71, was last seen leaving his home
on Sweete Street, Lidcombe, about 9.30am on
Wednesday 2 September.
Police from Flemington Local Area Command are
investigating his disappearance and have serious
concerns for his welfare due to his advancing years.
Mr Palatin has a medical condition which requires
ongoing medication. It is believed he does not have
his medication with him.
He is described as male, 168cm tall, olive skin,
thin build, clean shaven, mostly grey hair. At the
time of his disappearance Mr Palatin was dressed in
light beige long pants, light blue long-sleeved
collared dress shirt and enclosed brown shoes.
He is known to frequent the Blue Mountains area west
of Sydney.
