Appeal to locate missing woman from Earlwood

NSW Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from the Earlwood area since Tuesday.

Meryem Ismail, aged 52 was last seen about 2.20pm on Tuesday (18 January) on a State Transit Bus number 400 from Burwood.

Her parents were on the bus with her when they got off at a stop and realised their daughter had remained on the bus.

Inquires made revealed that she alighted at the Bondi Junction bus/railway interchange at 3:45pm on the 18 January, 2011.

Police and family hold concerns for Meryem as she suffers from a number of medical conditions including epilepsy and requires daily medication. She may became disorientated and not be aware of her surroundings.

Meryem is described as Caucasian in appearance, 160-165cm tall, medium build, with short black hair. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, red pants and white shoes. She also had a red handbag, containing a small amount of cash and identification.
