Melissa Brown was last seen in Adelaide on 13^th May 2000 and was known to frequent truck stops and also hitch-hike. Melissa has not been seen or heard from since. Grave fears are held for Melissa's safety, especially as the body of Melissa's mother, Rosemary Anne Brown (pictured above right) was located in mangroves on Garden Island on Sunday 2/7/00. Police ask that any members of the community who may have been in the Garden Island area during the first weekend of May 2000 and aware of a caravan being parked there, any vehicles or persons acting suspiciously to contact BankSA Crime Stoppers - 1800 333 000.

Melissa and Rosemary were last seen at a Blair Athol address in the early hours of Saturday 13 May 2000. Melissa is 162cms, (5'4"), 40 kgs, thin build, with dark shoulder length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a navy blue Addidas jumper, jacket and track suit pants with Nike brand shoes.
