Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman who went missing from Parramatta last weekend.

Megan Hamill, 45, was due to attend Cumberland Hospital on Saturday (6 August) at 5.30pm. A short time later she was reported missing to police by hospital staff after she failed to return to the hospital.

Police conducted extensive patrols in the surrounding area but were unable to locate the missing women.

Police are very keen to locate Megan as she has a medical condition that requires regular medication.

She is described as being of a heavy build, 166cm tall with long brown hair. At the time she went missing she was wearing a purple top, black jeans, boots and jacket.

Police believe Megan, also known as Elizabeth, may visit Manly or Surry Hills, as she has been known to frequent these areas in the past.

Police advise the community not to approach the woman if they see her, but to contact Parramatta Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
