Selman Mala was last seen on 28th June 2000, he left the family home with four unknown persons in a white ford sedan, he took his clothes and personal papers with him. Mr Mala may be using the names of Sam Miller or Darren Dyer. His family are very concerned for his safety and welfare.

Selman Mala, born 1963, left the Hoppers Crossing home he shared with his family on 28 June 2000 and they have not heard from him since. Selman left home in a white ford sedan with four other people taking clothes and personal papers with him. He may be using a different name. In the past he has used the names of Sam Miller and Darren Dyer. Selman would now be 43-years-old and at the time of his disappearance was 178cm tall, of thin build, spotty complexion, brown hair and green eyes. His family are very concerned about his safety and would dearly like information on his whereabouts.

 

Circumstances

On 28 June 2000 Selman Mala left the Westmeadows, Victoria home he shared with his family.
Selman left the family address in a white ford sedan with four unknown persons. He took his clothes and personal papers with him.
He may be using a different name. In the past has used the names of Sam Miller and Darren Dyer.
At the time of his disappearance Selman was described as 178 cm tall, thin build, spotty complexion, brown hair and green eyes.
His family has not seen or heard from him since and would like information as to his current whereabouts.

Renewed appeal to find missing Sam

Wyndham detectives are pleading for help as they investigate the disappearance of a Hoppers Crossing man 21-years ago.

Selman (Sam) Mala was last seen at his Westmeadows Lane home in June 2000, telling family he was moving to Adelaide to try and avoid a court appearance.

He was picked up by two unknown men and two unknown women in a Ford Fairlane.

The 37-year-old has not been heard from since, with his family reporting him missing in 2004.

There have been several appeals for information in the last 17 years, but Sam is yet to be found.

Detective Senior Constable Paul Stokes said Sam's family wanted answers.

“Sam has been missing for over twenty years and we are very keen to speak with anyone who knew or associated with Sam at the time of his disappearance, so we can finally give the family some answers," he said.
