Mum’s plea for info about missing son
26.01.2006 By Cath Fouracre - Sunshine Coast Daily
THE mother of missing Caboolture man Luke Stillman yesterday made an
impassioned plea for information about a Good Samaritan who offered Luke’s
companion a lift on the day after Luke’s disappearance.
Police are looking for a middle-aged man who was driving a white 4WD or 2WD
twin cab ute on Tuesday October 28, 2003.
Police hope this man can help them in their investigation into 19-year-old
Luke, who was last seen on Monday October 27, 2003 in the Toorbul and
Donnybrook forestry area.
His mum Debbie Strong of Miami said her family just sat at home looking at the
gate and wondering just what had happened to him.
Police said Stillman’s car, a cream VN Holden Commodore sedan, was bogged on
one of the forestry tracks within the Toorbul and Donnybrook Forestry area.
Stillman was with his 22-year-old friend.
State Homicide Investigation Detective Inspector Dave Hickey said from
information supplied since by the 22-year-old man they believed Stillman and
his companion had tried for several hours to get the car out of the bog and
sometime in the early hours of the morning of Tuesday October 28, 2003
Stillman had walked off to get help.
“His companion said a middle-aged man in a white 4WD or 2WD picked him (the
22-year-old) up and took him to Caboolture Railway Station.
“The 22-year-old was probably disoriented, barefoot with cuts and bruises.
