NSW Police in Sydney's inner-west are seeking public assistance to locate a man
missing from Ashfield for almost two days.
Laurie Shaw, 61, was last seen at a nursing home on Frederick Street, Ashfield,
about 7.30pm on Friday (26 March).
Police and Mr Shaw's family hold concerns for his wellbeing as he suffers from
dementia and requires medication.
Investigating officers have been told Mr Shaw has twice previously tried to
leave the Ashfield facility, where he's resided since early March.
It's believed he might have travelled to the Redfern area where he previously
lived.
Police are now appealing for public help to locate Mr Shaw, who's described as
being of white/European appearance, 170cm-173cm tall with medium build and
white/grey hair. He was last seen wearing a blue top, dark blue pants and
thongs.
A photo of Mr Shaw has been released publicly in an attempt to locate him.
Anyone who sees Mr Shaw or knows his current whereabouts is urged to contact
Ashfield Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
