Queensland police say a 21-year-old Brisbane university student has disappeared without trace.

KEA CALLCUT had completed one year of nursing studies at Griffith University when she
left her parent's Sunnybank house at 8pm on February 25 to visit a friend.

The CALLCUT family later found the friend had moved to a new address and KEA hasn't
been seen or heard from since.

Police say her bank account hasn't been touched since her disappearance and they fear
for her safety and well-being.

KEA is just one of 30,000 people reported missing every year who are remembered during
National Missing Persons Week which begins tomorrow.

KEA'S father ALAN CALLCUT says the family continues to hope for her safe return.

KEA is 170 centimetres tall, with brown hair, brown eyes, a fair complexion and a solid build.

She was last seen wearing corduroy jeans, a dark brown skivvy, black corduroy jacket
and carrying a small handbag.

Anyone knowing of KEA'S whereabouts are asked to contact police on 1800 333 0000 or to go to www.police.qld.gov.au.
