Family plead for your help to find missing woman Kay last seen in Stawell

"Out of character, something just isn't right".

Robyn McSwain is pleading with the public across the region to think back to the past month and try to remember if anyone has sighted her sister-in-law Kay.

Kay, from Werribee, was last seen across the Grampians region.

Ms McSwain has spent weeks on the phone and on social media trying to help her family try to find the missing 46-year-old.

"I was talking to my friend and she told me that she might have gone somewhere, where she feels safe," she said.

"She has always said she liked Halls Gap. She rang my brother and he came up and caught up with her in Halls Gap and said something wasn't quite right.

"He pointed out to me that it wasn't really 'Kay'. Kay is an organised person with matching luggage and always presented well.

"She stayed in accommodation in Halls Gap - he hoped she would get some sleep and relax. He had to go back to work and then he tried to call her and kept getting her voicemail.

"Their daughter got in touch and was saying she kept getting voicemail as well. That's when the red flags started to occur."

Victoria Police has said Kay was last seen at a bus stop outside a Stawell motel at about 9.15am on Tuesday February 2.

Kay was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, blue jeans and was carrying a grey backpack and shopping bags. She is 172cm tall with a medium build and short brown hair.

Police and family hold concerns for Kay as it is unusual for her to not make contact with family.

"We know she had access to some amount of money but money doesn't last," Ms McSwain said.

"We've been posting on social media and my brother went to Halls Gap to start looking for her.

"We think she might be

looking for a job - she did say there was lots of jobs in regional Victoria.

"We just hope that anyone has seen or heard from her can just get in touch and say she is ok.

"Kay, - we're worried. We don't need to know where you are or what you are doing, we just want to know you are ok."

Anyone who has seen Kay or has information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Stawell Police Station on 03 5358 8222.

Fears missing Werribee mum Kay Corp is ‘lost’ in bushland in Grampians National Park

The family of a woman last seen at a Victorian country bus stop six weeks ago say the disappearance is ‘out of character’ and fear she is in trouble.

The family of a woman who was last seen at a bus stop outside a country Victorian motel almost six weeks ago fear she is lost somewhere deep in the bushland of the Grampians National Park.

Kay Corp has not been seen since Tuesday, February 2 after she was sighted at a bus stop outside a Stawell motel about 9.15am.

Her sister-in-law Robyn McSwain said the disappearance was “out of character” and knew something was not quite right when the missing 46-year-old didn’t take any of her beloved jewellery with her.

“She loved all of her beautiful pieces – the dangling earrings and the dozens of bracelets – for her to leave them behind doesn’t feel right, it doesn’t feel right at all,” she told NCA NewsWire.

“She is just like me – very well organised, the sort of person who always had a spare toothbrush – so for my brother to see her just with a backpack … he was very taken aback.”

Ms McSwain said she was “clinging onto her last bit of hope” that her sister-in-law was hiding out in Halls Gap or the Grampians National Park – a place that had been “a haven” for Ms Corp throughout her life.

“She loved the Grampians, always spoke about it and had some of her best times of her life there, so it makes sense she’s fled there,” she said.

“But it’s harsh bushland – I am personally very scared for her safety – she fled only with lightweight clothing and it’s getting very cold now, so surely she’s gone out to buy a jumper and someone has seen her.”

Kay has a 16-year-old daughter Olivia, who has just started VCE this year and is about to turn 17 next month.

Ms McSwain said Olivia was trying to reach her mother every day.

“She is concerned – she would touch base with her mum two or three times a day,” she said.

“To have not one inbox or text message returned – as a 16 year-old she realises something isn’t quite right here.

“She thought her mum went for a break – we all thought that Kay just needs a break – but none of us could get hold of her after the first 10 days, and that’s when we all started to worry, and now it’s been six week that she hasn’t been seen.”

Ms Corp lived in Werribee with her daughter, while her partner lived in Stawell in western Victoria.

She was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, blue jeans and was carrying a grey backpack and shopping bags.

Ms McSwain urged her sister-in-law to make contact so the family could know she was safe and well.

“I can stand in your shoes – I fully understand where your head is at, but our family is concerned for you,” she said.

“Just say to something to someone wherever you may be and let them pass that information onto the police.

“I don’t want to feel negative – I just believe you’re out there totally lost and exhausted and don’t know what to do or who to ask for help – but you’ve got to be staying somewhere, even if it’s the most dodgy place.

“So please, just reach out to us or let us know you’re OK.”

Ms Corp is 172cm tall with a medium build and short brown hair.
