Build: Medium
Height: 162cm
Hair: Brown

Circumstances: Kate ALEXANDER was last seen by her relatives about 1430
hrs on Sunday 31-MAR-1974 at her home address 1 Hampton Circuit Yarralumla ACT.
The missing person is absent-minded and fears are held for safety. She is
described as being an unassuming type of person and could easily be taken
advantage of. She would not seek help but rather wander aimlessly around. She
was prone to fret very badly since her husbands death. The missing person had
been living with her son who was absent at the time of her disappearance. She is
believed to have had about $50.00 cash in her possession, a pension card and a
bus pass at the time of her disappearance. Information received would indicate
the missing person was given a lift to Queanbeyan NSW between 1100 and 1230 hrs
on Monday 01-APR-1974 and was last seen in Atkinson Street Queanbeyan walking
towards bushland at the rear of the Queanbeyan Golf Course. A further report
received indicates the missing person could have visited the Nimble-Timble shop
in McQuoid Street Queanbeyan about 1230 hrs on 10-APR-1974. Relatives are of the
opinion the missing person has become lost and is wandering. The missing person
was at one time employed as a housemaid in a Canberra Motel and if she is
suffering from a loss of memory may attempt to find similar employment. Police
searches in the Canberra and Queanbeyan areas have failed to reveal any traces
of the missing person.
