Karmein Chan

I am often asked about Karmein, as her murder remains unsolved. Karmein is believed to be one of the victims of serial child abductor/molestor and killer dubbed "Mr Cruel" who operated in Melbourne in the 1980's and 90's.

Karmein was 13 years old when she was abducted from her family home in Templestowe, Victoria on April 13, 1991. Her body was found on April 9, 1992, at Edgars Creek, Thomastown. She had been shot dead.

Mr Cruel, who is suspected of attacking at least four girls after breaking into their homes between 1987 and 1991, has never been identified.
