Karon Bethune

8 year old Karon had finished basketball practice and was walking home on April 6th 1981 in Perth, WA. Karon didn't make it home. The following day after a massive Police and volunteer search Karon's body was found hanging by a noose from the branch of a tree. Karon was naked. She had been tortured, stabbed, hit on the head with a rock and the handle of a knife, and sexually assaulted before being hung from the tree. A 14 year old boy was quickly charged with Karon's murder.
