Missing man – Kulgera
NT Police are appealing to the public for assistance after a 48-year-old man
went missing near Kulgera last month.
John Blackman was last seen around February 13 and the alarm was raised after
his abandoned vehicle was located on a cattle station on Friday (Feb 25).
Police have reason to believe Mr Blackman may have started walking south along
the Ghan Railway Line. An air and ground search involving police from Northern
Territory and South Australia is underway.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance approximately 155cm tall and 80
kilograms. He is generally clean shaven and has two missing front teeth. He is
believed to be wearing jeans and cowboy boots and a weathered cowboy hat. He
generally wears press-studded shirts with the sleeves cut off. He has tattoos of
Indian feathers and eagle heads on both arms and another tattoo on his chest. He
is believed to be traveling with a Red Heeler dog.
