Missing man - Newcastle

Police are renewing their appeal for the public’s help to find a man last seen
in the Newcastle area nearly two years ago.
Josiah El Joash, 47, was last seen in Newcastle on January 11 2009, when he told
friends he was going into bushland at Cameron Park to meditate.
His friends and family have not heard from him since.
Investigators from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command have been investigating and
are making a renewed appeal ahead of a Coronial inquest in Newcastle next month
into his disappearance.
Mr El Joash is from Sydney but has ties to the north coast of the state,
particularly around Lismore, and it is possible he might have spent time in the
area over the past two years.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance and is easily recognisable by
heavy tattooing on his face. This includes a triangle shape on his forehead.
