Jeffrey Hines was last seen on 18 September 1984 at Mona Vale, Sydney. Jeffrey left work at Grace Bros. Mona Vale at midday and was later seen at a service station in Cromer. He told the attendant that they would not see him back at Grace Bros. and he purchased a litre of petrol and a box of matches. (Stated it was for a mate's car) The vehicle was later located by his father at Blue Fish Point, North Head (Manly).
