NSW Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing elderly man from
Sydney’s southwest.
Narayanan Jaganathan, 77, was last seen leaving his Guernsey Avenue house in
Minto on Wednesday morning, telling relatives he was going for a haircut.
The man did not return and has not been seen or heard from since.
Officers from Macquarie Fields have made inquiries with local shopkeepers,
including the barber, who all said they did not see Mr Jaganathan.
Searches have also been conducted of surrounding bushland but there was no sign
of the man. It is believed he may have headed towards the Sydney’s CBD.
Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is totally
out of character. Mr Jaganathan suffers from severe asthma and will become ill
should he not have access to medication.
Mr Jaganathan is described as being Indian/Pakistani appearance, medium build,
162cm tall, grey hair, dark complexion.
He was last seen wearing a long sleeve cream and brown shirt, dark coloured long
pants, brown sandals and a silver mens watch.
Anyone with information about the man’s whereabouts is urged to contact
Macquarie Fields Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
