Missing Warrnambool man Greg Tory, 48, has not been located in far east Victoria

A Victoria Police said there had been a concerted effort to locate Mr Tory, but he had not been found after going missing in far east Victoria.

 

The search has now been scaled back.

Mr Tory was last seen in Mallacoota, near the New South Wales border,​ on April ​24 ​wearing jeans and a ​T-shirt.
 

Police, with the assistance of Parks Victoria, Coast Guard, ​the Country Fire Authority and S​tate Emergency Service conducted a search.

The Police Air Wing also checked the Bastion Point boat ramps,​​ Mallacoota Inlet, bush and scrubland, residential and other areas of interest around the Mallacoota area.

Anyone who spots Mr Tory is urged to contact Mallacoota police station on 5158 0280.
 

June 19: POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Warrnambool ​man Greg Tory, who was last seen in far east Victoria.

The 48-year-old was last seen in Mallacoota, near the New South Wales border,​ on April ​24 ​wearing jeans and a ​T-shirt.

Well known Mr Tory grew up in Warrnambool and has lived much of his life in the city.

Police and family members have concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition and the length of time he has been missing.
 

Mr Tory is described as 185cm tall, short brown hair, blue eyes, large build with a grey goatee beard.
 

He is known to frequent fishing spots in Warrnambool, South Gippsland and the Sapphire Coa​st in New South Wales.
 

Police have released an image of ​Mr Tory in the hope someone recognises him and has information on his current whereabouts.

Anyone who sights Greg is urged to contact Mallacoota Police Station on 5158 0280.

A Gippsland Water Police vessel with a Coast Guard vessel have been utilised for searches of the lower reaches of the Mallacoota Inlet and Harrisons Channel areas.

Search parties have been tasked to undertake searches of designated coastal areas and Mortimers Paddock Bushland Reserve.
