Appeal to locate missing 82-year-old Kelso man

QLD Police are appealing for public assistance to locate 82-year-old Kelso man Gerald Hudson.

Mr Hudson was last seen at the Ross Dam car park on Upper Ross River Road about 2.30pm yesterday, when he left the area on his mobility scooter to go home.

His family holds concerns for his safety and welfare as he suffers from dementia and may become disorientated.

Mr Hudson is described as Caucasian, approximately 178cms tall, with a solid build, grey hair, ginger eyebrows, blue eyes, and has a New Zealand accent.

He was last seen wearing a blue and white stripped shirt, grey shorts, white sandals and a ‘Bunnings’ straw hat. He was also carrying a black walking stick and riding his gold mobility scooter.

Missing man, Kelso near Townsville:

Police are continuing a search of land and waterways for an 82-year-old man missing from Kelso since yesterday. Police dog squad crews, the QES helicopter and SES personnel were involved in the search until late yesterday. Gerald Hudson was last seen on a bike track beside Riverway Drive near Ross Dam when he left the area on his mobility scooter to go home towards Munbilla Drive about 2.30pm.
