Police are investigating a report that a 22-year-old man has gone missing in Central Australia.  
 
Police received a report from the man’s mother last night (Sunday) that family members were concerned he hadn’t been seen since the Sunday before.  
 
The last positive sighting of Matthew Furber was at approximately 10.30pm in Alice Springs when he told his family he was going to take the train to Darwin or Katherine. Police inquiries with family and friends have failed to find the missing man who is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, approximately 158 cm tall, 60 kilograms and with a slim build. Police today released a photo of the missing man.
