Concern grows for missing Stephen
NSW Police are appealing for public assistance following the disappearance of a Liverpool man who has been missing for a week.
Stephen De La Motte, 52, was last seen on Tuesday 19 August and was reported missing by his boss on Saturday after he failed to show up to his Sydney workplace late last week.
Concerned for his welfare, Mr De La Motte's boss visited his Atkinson Street home on Saturday 23 August only to find he had vanished.
Police say they found his wallet when they entered the home and that his keys were found in the letterbox by neighbours.
Inspector David Scrimgeour from Liverpool Police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his disappearance at this stage but admits the events leading up to his disappearance are not normal.
Inspector Scrimgeour also said that his family are worried and that there are indications he sought medical assistance prior to going missing.
Police will conduct a search of the area around the missing man's home today, with the help of the Air Wing and Operational Support Group officers.
Mr De La Motte is of white/European in appearance, about 180cm tall, with a medium build and short, dark hair.
Anyone with information about Mr De La Motte's disappearance is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
