Police have asked the public to help find a 61-year-old York man who has been missing since 12pm today.

A police spokesman said David Wood was believed to be suffering from depression and was a diabetic who was dependent on medication.

He is described as 175cm tall with a solid build, straight, silver-white hair and a white beard.

He was last seen wearing black knee-top shorts and a maroon top.

Those with information are asked to contact police on 131 444.
