Dale Bellette was last seen on Saturday 25th of April 2004. Dale
informed his parents he intended to visit the Hartz Mountain area near
Geeveston, Tasmania with the intention of returning later the same day.
Dale left his residence at Warrane driving a white Torana Sunbird which
was later located in the carpark at the commencement of the walking
track at Hartz Mountain.
A male matching Dale’s description was spoken to by another walker at
approximately 3pm. An extensive search was conducted of the area however
Dale was not located.
Anyone with information which may assist in locating the whereabouts of

Searchers are taking advantage of good weather to scour the area from the air
and on foot.

The search for a Hobart bushwalker missing for nearly a week is to be further
scaled back on the weekend.
Dale Bellette, 32, of Warrane has been missing in the Hartz Mountains National
Park in Tasmania since Sunday.
Police, canoeists, tracker dogs and search volunteers have been scouring the
area by land and air since Monday.
Ground teams will be redeployed tomorrow, but the air search has been called
