Craig lives in Swifts Creek Victoria and also frequents the Bairnsdale area. He was visiting Eden NSW when he went missing.

 

 

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man missing from Eden NSW.

Craig Evans, aged 51, was last seen leaving a worksite on the Princes Highway, Eden, about 4.15pm on Tuesday 11 December 2018.

Police have been told he is visiting NSW from his home in Eastwood, Victoria.

Officers from the South Coast Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate him.

There are serious concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Craig is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, about 170cm tall with red hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, black pants, boots and a grey broad brimmed hat.

Search continues for missing man

An extensive land, sea and air search took place along the coast on Saturday, January 12 in an effort to locate missing man Craig Evans,aged 51, who was last seen leaving a work site on the Princes Hwy, Eden, about 4.15pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

CEO of the Westpac Lifesaving helicopter service Stephen Leahy said it was the second time a search had been carried out.

“This was an extensive search of the Pambula and Eden headlands, around the rocks working with surf life saving volunteers, SES volunteers, police and the Westpac helicopter,” Mr Leahy said.
 

As part of the operation Eden SES was asked by police to provide vertical rescue operators to carry out a cliff search to try and locate the missing man.
 

 

Eden SES unit, supported by Bega SES unit were able to provide two search teams made up of seven vertical rescue qualified operators, plus an additional eight support crew. Tathra Surf Rescue were also involved in the search on the day. 

Mr Evans is still missing and there have been serious concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Police search continues for missing man in Eden

In a further effort to locate any signs of Mr Evans, this Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17, NSW Police with the assistance of State Emergency Services, Rural Fire Service, Volunteer Rescue Association and Surf Life Saving will undertake a coordinated land search of areas in and around Eden.
 

At the time of his disappearance Mr Evans told his work colleagues he needed to make a number of phone calls and he would return a short time later.
 

 

At the time of his disappearance, police believe Mr Evans was in possession of a mobile phone, a set of car keys and his wallet containing personal/bank cards, all of which are currently outstanding.

Mr Evans is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, about 170cm tall with red hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, black pants, boots and a grey broad brimmed hat.
