CAMBERWELL police are making
inquiries interstate and
overseas in their investigation
of the disappearance of an
Indian national.
Glen Iris resident Dipakkumar
Chaudhari’s housemates, who had
not seen him since Wednesday,
November 4, reported him missing
over the weekend.
The 22-year-old’s last known
whereabouts have been traced to
Crown Casino between 5:20am and
6:30am on Thursday, November 5.
Constable Greg Garrisson said
attempts to contact the student
via mobile phone had been
unsuccessful and police had no
leads.
Constable Garrison said Mr
Chaudhari’s brother who is
living in the United Kingdom had
been notified of his
disappearance, deemed out of
character by friends.
``We still have concerns for
his welfare,’’ Constable
Garrisson said.

prompting
concerns for his
safety.
Dipakkumar

headed towards
Crown Casino
between 5.20am
and 6.30am last
Thursday.
His Glen Iris
housemates
reported him
missing over the
weekend.
Police and
housemates have
been unable to
contact Mr
Chaudhari as his
mobile diverts
immediately to
voicemail,
suggesting a
dead battery or
the phone being
turned off,
police said.
Police have
been told that
his
disappearance is
out of
character.
