Police are appealing for public information to help find a Sydney man who went missing last weekend.

Twenty-seven-year-old Mark Baruzzi was last seen by flatmates on February 7 after returning from an overseas trip, but also tried to call to his brother two days later.

Police say they are concerned for Mr Baruzzi as he is a diabetic, and believe the disappearance is completely out of character.

He is described as being of European appearance, thin and around 180 centimetres tall with brown hair and eyes.

Fears for missing Paddington man

Police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a man missing from his Paddington home since last weekend.

Mark Baruzzi, 27, returned from an overseas trip on Saturday 7 February and was last seen by his flatmates that day.

About 1.30pm on Monday 9 February, he attempted to contact his brother on his mobile phone but the call went unanswered. This is the last known contact the man has made.

Investigators hold concerns for Mr Baruzzi as he suffers from diabetes, for which he requires daily insulin injections.

It is believed he is not currently taking his medication and his disappearance is totally out of character.

Records indicate Mr Baruzzi stayed at a hotel on Cumberland Street in Sydney’s CBD last Monday night and possibly in another hotel on George Street over Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

As part of their investigation, officers have checked hospitals across Sydney but have found no trace of the man.

Mark is described as being of white/European appearance, thin build, 182cm tall, with brown hair and eyes.

Anyone who thinks they might have seen Mr Baruzzi or who might know of his current whereabouts is urged to contact the Missing Persons Unit via CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
