Missing man now wanted by police after fears over him vanishing 10 years ago following a 'family dispute' turns into a nationwide manhunt over child abuse allegations

5 April 2023

A man who vanished on one side of the country before being spotted on the other years later is now being hunted by police after they issued a warrant for his arrest.

Alfred Keith Crozier, who typically goes by Keith and would now be 69, disappeared 10 years ago after a 'family dispute' in Western Australia.

Mr Crozier was last seen in by his wife at their home in Canning Vale, in Perth's south, on March 29, 2013.

While fears were initially held for Mr Crozier's safety, attention has now turned to arresting him after Western Australia Police issued a warrant to find him.

The arrest warrant was issued over child abuse allegations.

Western Australia Police confirmed an active warrant was out for Mr Crozier's arrest but were unable to provide specifics on individuals.

Rumoured sightings have been reported in Tasmania, where Mr Crozier is believed to potentially be living under a new identity.

An active missing person's profile on Crime Stoppers said details on his disappearance were scarce.

'It is unknown what clothing Alfred was wearing and there are serious concerns for his health and welfare,' the profile read.

He was declared a missing person following the 2013 family dispute when his wife reported he failed to return home the following day.

Several appeals to find Mr Crozier have been published by Tasmanian Police in the years after his disappearance, with several verified sightings around the Hobart area.

The first sighting was in 2013, where it was first suspected he may be living under a different name.

Another confirmed report came in 2017 in the suburbs of Sorell or Midway Point where someone was seen matching his description.

Mr Crozier is described to be 175cm with grey hair and blue eyes.
