Her husband died in a nursing home a month before she disappeared.

Forensic officers are using a ground penetrating radar as they continue their investigation into the disappearance of a Perth woman two years ago.

Officers used the technology in the backyard of Ah Bee Mack's Mount Hawthorn property on Saturday.

They say they have found some areas of interest that will require further investigation.

The house was sprayed with luminol to detect any traces of blood, but officers have not disclosed those results.

Police say they also searched a storage facility on Beechboro Road in Embleton this morning and seized a vehicle.

Ms Mack's son appeared in court yesterday, accused of stealing $162,000 from his mother by forging cheques.

He has been identified as a person of interest by officers investigating his mother's disappearance.

Forensic police officers are hoping to uncover clues in the search for missing woman Ah Bee Mack, when they dig up areas of her property today.

Ah Bee Mack has not been seen for two years, but was not reported missing until earlier this month.

Police yesterday used a ground penetrating radar at her Mount Hawthorn home to detect soil disturbances, and say they found a number of areas of interest.

Detective Senior Constable David Gannaway from Major Crime says he is hoping the dig provides clues to her whereabouts.

Mrs Mack's son Brent Donald Mack is considered a person of interest in his mother's disappearance.

He appeared in court on Friday accused of stealing $162,000 from her bank accounts.

His storage unit in Embleton has also been searched and police have seized items, including a vehicle.
