Police say a 38-year-old man who disappeared more than a week ago became agitated in the days before he disappeared.

Noel James Acton failed to turn up for work in Maddington last Wednesday morning after taking the day off on Tuesday to attend a counselling appointment.

His unlocked car was found in the garage of his Gosnells home and his bank accounts have not been touched.

Detective Senior Constable Brenda Duddy says the last confirmed sighting of Mr Acton was at work on Monday.

"He seemed of normal character on Monday morning according to his work colleagues," she said.

"He made several phone calls throughout the day and, as a result one of those phone calls, he became very angry and quite agitated on his way home on Monday evening."

The parents of a missing 38-year-old Gosnells man have pleaded for him to contact them.

“We just want to know you are OK,” Mr Acton said.

Noel James Acton was last seen at an appointment about 4.30pm on November 6 at an unknown wellness clinic.

“We are extremely concerned for his welfare as he failed to report for work on November 7, which was also out of character,” she said.

He worked at a Maddington engineering business.

Worried relatives contacted police, who found Mr Acton’s yellow Pulsar car unlocked at his Gosnells home. His belongings appeared to be untouched.

Mr Acton is described as 174cm tall, with a slim build, long black hair and brown eyes.
