The vigorous search for a man missing in Sydney’s south will enter its fifth day tomorrow.

Aaron Payne, 32, allegedly went for a bushwalk near Jibbon Beach at Bundeena in the Royal National Park on October 20 and never returned.

Police believe Mr Payne parked his car on Beachcomber Ave before he ventured onto the Coast Track.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter conducted the first of several aerial searches on Saturday afternoon before severe storms lashed the region.

Sutherland Shire police, the Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service volunteers have also participated in the widescale search.

Mr Payne is described as being caucasian, fair, brown-haired, slim and 170cm.

He was wearing a navy shirt, beige shorts, dark hiking boots, a backpack and a headtorch.

Social media posts indicate Mr Payne uses hearing aids, and works as a teacher in the region.
