Three Chinese nationals missing – Bondi Junction
Tuesday, 20 Oct 2009 11:25amNSW Police are appealing for public assistance to locate three Chinese women who went missing from their tour group in Sydney’s east last month.
About 3.30pm on Saturday 26 September 2009, a tour group of 15 Chinese nationals arrived at a shopping centre on Oxford Street, Bondi Junction after travelling from Melbourne.
In the tour group were Meiping Kong, 55, Jie Wang, 54 and Hongsen Yuan, 53. All the women originate from the municipality of Tianjin in China.
At 4.30pm the three women did not return to their tour bus as expected.
Subsequent checks have revealed that the three women have not returned to China. As of 4 October they were all declared unlawful non-citizens.
Police are appealing for assistance from the community, particularly the Chinese community, to locate the three women. There is no evidence at this stage to suggest that the women have been victim to foul play.
